Ashley Greene has shot her first pictures as ambassador for Avon’s affordable beauty brand Mark.
The ‘Twilight‘ actress – who has stepped into the shoes of ‘The Hills’ star Lauren Conrad, who formerly fronted campaigns for the make-up company – was given the chance to test a selection of products, and has revealed she can’t live without mascara, foundation and lip gloss on a day-to-day basis.
She said: “I have six movies coming out in the next two years and my career does keep me busy so every day I wear concealer, mascara and lip gloss. I like the Mark’s Save The Day anti-acne concealer stick and the Light Bright lighten and de-puff eye gel.”
The 23-year-old beauty hopes to encourage young women to “believe in themselves” as part of her new role as brand ambassador.
She added: “I was initially drawn to Mark because of the fantastic products but also the empowering message to encourage women to make their mark in the world has helped solidify my decision.
“As Mark’s brand ambassador I am excited to encourage young women to believe in themselves and make a difference.”
Playing The Twilight Saga‘s most stylish vampire, Alice Cullen, certainly has its chic advantages, but that doesn’t mean that Ashley Greene wouldn’t like to change up her bloodsucker’s penchant for high-fashion.
At a private event in West Hollywood Monday to celebrate her ASOS July magazine cover, the LBD-clad actress, joined by stylish pals like Kelly Osbourne, told WWD that she’d like her onscreen character to follow her stylish lead. “I want her to have an Audrey Hepburn-Jackie-O mix. I am a huge fan of the Jackie O Ray-Bans. I love ballet flats for her and leggings,” she told WWD.
Is Alice Cullen’s stark white complexion and ever-changing eye color going to be flattered by a pearl necklace and a Chanel suit? Looks like we’ll have to wait until Breaking Dawn, scheduled to hit theaters November 2011, to see if Alice quenches Ashley’s fashion thirst!
